How we price a garment
Most brands treat cost structure as a trade secret. We think it is the most interesting thing about a garment, so here it is in plain numbers.
The parts
- 01Fabric and trims — long-staple cotton, woven in Europe.
- 02Cut, make and finishing at a small run workshop.
- 03Packaging, duties and freight.
- 04A fixed contribution to hearing-health research.
- 05What remains funds the next run.
Small runs are expensive. A 200-piece order costs meaningfully more per unit than a 5,000-piece one, and we have decided to keep it that way until demand — not forecasting — justifies otherwise.
“If we cannot explain a price out loud, it is the wrong price.”
The full figures are published on the mission page and updated whenever a run closes.
